SCARCE and apparently a RARE variety with a five pointed star within upper legend. The five pointed star is thought by scholars to represent the five pillars of Islam and/or the five prayers. A nice example with some flatness in the strike but without the heavy waviness and buckling typical of this issue.
Sultan Suleiman I ( also known as Suleiman the Magnificent ) was the famed builder of Jerusalem. The turreted walls still surrounding the old city today are those built by Suleiman.
