Terms

We accept checks drawn on U.S. banks, money orders, Zelle payments, Chase Quikpay, Wise (formerly Transferwise), most major Credit Cards and Paypal. Due to bank fees, standard bank wire transfers are accepted only on purchases exceeding $500 for domestic wires (unless a $15 wire fee is added). International bank wire transfers are only accepted for purchases exceeding $1,000. Paypal is accepted for purchases under $2,000, by requesting a paypal invoice in checkout. Also note that Paypal no longer refunds fees and in case of a return (other than reasons of authenticity) we will not be able to refund the paypal fees (varying from 3.49% - 4.99% + .49)

Title does not pass until payment is made in full. Please allow sufficient time for personal checks to clear.

We also sell through local retailers and other venues and it may be possible that a coin ordered was already sold. In this case we apologize and will notify you promptly. We are closed on Friday evenings EST. and Saturday and can only validate orders upon reopening. This also applies to religious and legal holidays.

New York City and Yonkers residents add 8.875% sales tax including on shipping charges. Other New York State residents are required to add the appropriate sales tax for your county.

International customers should be aware of their countries' import policies. We cannot be responsible for VAT or duties assessed by the import country.

Although we use professional equipment to photograph our coins, photographic methods and the color of a computer monitor can never replicate exactly what an eye sees, so you may see some variance in color or depth, when receiving your coins.

All items are thoroughly inspected and guaranteed to be authentic without time limit *(see next paragraph). If the initial period for unconditional return privileges has expired we may at our discretion require written documentation from a recognized expert non-commercial authenticator to back up a claim of lack of authenticity.

*Exception to the above is coins that are graded and/or encapsulated (slabbed) by third party grading companies.  Mass encapsulation of ancient coins is a recent phenomena, and is in our opinion highly subjective. Grading criteria and industry standards have not been developed as they have been for modern coins. Furthermore, due to the very limited number of graders they may be lacking the knowledge of a specialist. We cannot fully inspect an encapsulated coin. If we are selling the coin, it would appear to us to be authentic, but we cannot accept any liability for coins we cannot fully inspect. In cases of doubt all claims must be forwarded to the appropriate grading company and is subject to their terms of guarantee (which may be zero liability or a negligible amount)

We cannot be held responsible for any actions of third party grading services regarding coins we have sold, except for definite claims of "modern forgery" which will be investigated and refunded in accordance with our policy above. Though we attempt to describe and grade our coins properly, we cannot guarantee their evaluation of grade, surfaces etc. or even that they will evaluate any given coin.

We also sell antiquities. Most pottery and lamps, especially those originating in the middle east have undergone minor repair or resoration. Often the repair is hard to discern because it may have been covered over by dirt, removal of which can damage the item. Only items which state no repairs or no restoration are guaranteed to be without any repair whatsoever. If no mention is made, that would indicate that either there may be very minor repair or no repair is readily discernable. Items with significant or noticeable repairs will be described.
