SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS AR DENARIUS
RIC -- (375 sim), RSC - (144 sim), Very Fine, toned, 18mm, 3.89 grams, Struck Circa. 194/195 C.E., Emesa Mint
Obverse: IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG II around laureate head of Septimius Severus to right
Reverse: Basket of fruits, FELICIT TEMPOR arond
A VERY RARE coin and possibly unique! With only a handful of this type on acsearch altogether, this type does not appear to be published with AVG II on obverse instead of COS II. The reverse legend also not in RIC for the basket of fruits type, only for the cornucopia type.
Ex: Curtis Clay collection
