Obverse: 'Eleazar the priest' (in Paleo-Hebrew) in retrograde flanks seven-branched palm tree with two bunches of dates
Reverse: Bunch of grapes with branch and small leaf, 'Year one of the redemption of Israel' around
Well centered and struck on a broad flan with complete inscriptions. A CHOICE example and one of the best! This is the PLATE coin featured in both AJC (Ancient Jewish Coins) #8 by Meshorer, as well the the popular TJC (Treasury of Jewish Coins) #225 (see inset photo)
