PEROZ AR DRACHM, 457 - 484 C.E.
Gobl III/1, Extremely Fine, 29.3mm, 4.10 grams
Obverse: Draped bust of King Peroz to right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent, korymbos set on crescent, flanked by wings

LOVELY example with subtle irridescent toning!
Peroz is also known in the Talmud as Peroz Reshia (the wicked Peroz). (Sassania is Bavel) He viciously persecuted his Jewish and Christian subjects.
