CALCHEDON, BITHYNIA AR HALF SIGLOS (DRACHM)
HGC 7, 518 (511), NGC Choice Very Fine, Struck Circa.340 - 320 B.C.E.
Obverse: Bull standing left on grain-ear, KAΛX above
Reverse: Mill-sail incuse
This later type without the kerykeion is much scarcer than the one with it. The coin is off center but one of the FINEST and sharpest renditions of the bull that we have seen. Well struck on excellent metal!
(The coin is slabbed by NGC without a weight noted. It is either a large half siglos or a small full siglos.)
