Lovely Sharp early Bar Kokhba AE on excellent metal!
There is wide conjecture as to who the Eleazar named on the coin of Bar Kokhba was. It may have been his uncle Rabbi Eleazar of Modi'in or according to David Hendin a possible allusion to Eleazar of the Bible who was the first high priest in Israel.
