Reverse: Severus Alexander togate standing facing, head to left, sacrificing with patera over lighted tripod to left, P M TR P VI COS II P P around
Lightly toned with underlying luster. Great strike and lovely detail on BOTH obverse and reverse!
Ex: Joseph Marcovic Collection. Joseph started his collection in the 1930's. He buried his collection when drafted to fight the Germans for Yugoslavia Circa. 1941. He was captured by the Germans. Later returning with his wife to the rubble of his home, he amazingly found the collection still buried intact. He moved with his collection to Israel in 1949 and continued to care for it until his passing in 1981.
