Obverse: IMP DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG around laureate head of Diocletian to right

Reverse: Moneta standing to left, holding scales in right hand and cornucopia in left, crescent below scales, SACRA MONET AVGG ET CAESS NOSTR around, Γ in right field, SIS in exergue

Some of the copper shows through on obverse. A SHARP coin of Emperor Diocletian and a VERY SCARCE type with the crescent on reverse instead of the star.

This is the Diclitanus mentioned in the Midrash who had a tumultuous relationship but ultimately reconciled and had a good relationship with the Jewish people.
