A Rare historical item of Legion X Fretensis, the Legion under the command of Titus that besieged and destroyed Jerusalem and the holy Temple. This tile was found in present day Jerusalem. The tile was manufactured for the camp, admininstrative buildings and dwellings of the Roman legion through the Bar Kokha war 132 - 135 C.E.

A BEAUTIFUL and complete STRIKING inscription on this historic tile. Although the flash washes out the color in the photo, the tile is of a nice rich peach color. The writing is UNUSUALLY LARGE  and ornate for a Legion X tile. Perhaps this signified use in an important building or by aristocracy or a commander.
