A very attractive and nicely centered example of this increasingly harder to find Temple Tax coin at an excellent price. These have been selling in the 20 thousands as of late, with the latest example selling at about 23.5k  and a not very nice example selling at over 22k!

The Judaeans paid the Temple tax for centuries with the Shekel of Tyre. It was only during the last 4 1/2 years of the Second Temple period during their rebellion against Rome that they struck their own shekel coinage within the Temple precincts.

Ex: Nussbaum Collection, New York

Only US dollar checks drawn on a US bank or Bank Wire can be accepted for this coin.
