A virtually PERFECT coin! This type is always quite scarce but usually found with the depiction of Lucius Verus. We found only two examples with Marcus Aurelius in the acsearch auction records, with the latest one being the ONLY one offered in the CNG archives in 2008 here, the quality only a shadow of our coin. This coin may very well be the finest known for Marcus Aurelius. Also see the more common Lucius Verus here, which is the finest of the type found in the auctions and probably not as nice as ours but fetched about $1300 at auction. Notice the superior style of our coin, especially in the engraving of the Tyche/
